The Portal de Valldigna was an access door to the Morería neighborhood of Valencia, which was opened in the old Muslim wall, in the year 1400.

The Muslims who had stayed after the conquest of Valencia settled outside the wall that they themselves had built. Later, in 1356, another wall (the Christian one) was built that included the Morería in the city. The old Muslim wall was not demolished, thus counting the city with two defensive fences. Little by little it was demolished, although in the 18th century there were still numerous remains of the Muslim wall.

This was the church of the old town of Ruzafa. The church had been built on the site of the old medieval church and was renovated in 1676 by Juan Bautista Pérez Castiel, who gave it its current appearance. The bell tower is already from the 18th century. Burned in 1936, it was rebuilt from 1939. In 1940-1949 the Communion Chapel was built.

In this small square, at number 7, some strange noise phenomena occurred in 1915 that stopped a little later. Although the authorities that investigated them gave as reasons natural causes due to the instability of some partition, they even spoke of the "duende" of the square of Esparto.

In one corner is the Café de Sant Jaume, in the place that was formerly occupied by a pharmacy.

El Hemisférico was the first building to be completed (1998). Inside it houses an IMAX cinema with capacity for 300 people. The screenings are on science and technology topics.

On the inner cupola, a movable cupola section allows the smaller or greater opening of the covered outer space. It has been compared to an eye.
