The heyday of the Botanical Garden of Valencia came with the professor of botany Félix Pizcueta, who directed the Botanical Garden from 1829 to 1863. Pizcueta acclimatized exotic plants and improved the botanical collection. In 1843, Félix Pizcueta replaced Linnaeus' organization with Endlicher's natural method.
